Opportunity builder

Unlock growth and drive impactful changes with clear actions and accountability.

To get started creating your opportunities, navigate to the Opportunities tab and click on the yellow “plus” button marked Opportunity. This will take you to the opportunity builder. The first thing to do when creating a new opportunity is pinpointing an area in your customer journey that could be improved. In Carrie's journey with DreamCatcher, she might identify that some potential customers are not aware of the sustainable practices behind their clothing line.Screenshot 2024-02-14 at 10-16-35 PM-png

Once you’ve identified an enhancement you would like to make, write a concise and clear title for it. For Carrie, this could be "Increase Awareness of Sustainable Practices".Screenshot 2024-02-14 at 10-53-46 PM-png

Next, describe the opportunity in more detail. This should include the current situation, the desired situation, and the steps you think could get you there. For example, Carrie could write: Screenshot 2024-02-14 at 10-56-50 PM-png

Another crucial step is assigning a project owner who will oversee the opportunity every step of the way. For Carrie's opportunity, she might assign this to her content marketing manager.

Another important step in building your opportunities is rating their benefit for the company. The benefit rating is a scale from 1-5 that indicates the potential impact of the opportunity on your business. A rating of 1 indicates a minor impact, while a rating of 5 indicates a major impact. This rating helps prioritize opportunities based on their potential benefit. For example, Carrie might assign a benefit rating of 4 to her opportunity, indicating a high potential impact on her business.Screenshot 2024-02-14 at 11-06-17 PM-png

Status updates help track the progress of the opportunity. The status can be set as "new", "open", "archived", or "solved". For instance, when Carrie first identifies her opportunity, she would set the status as "new". Once her team starts working on it, she can update the status to "open".

And finally, tags and links can be added to the opportunity to facilitate organization and provide additional context or resources. Carrie might add tags like "sustainability" and "brand awareness" to her opportunity. She could also add links to resources her team might need, such as research on sustainable fashion practices or examples of effective sustainability messaging.
